The 2023 Wyoming mule deer mount was finished by Keweenaw Critters Taxidermy in Calumet, Michigan. The only job left was getting it more than nine hours south to its permanent place on the wall.
The mount preserves an opportunity Cody will always value. It will hang beside the pronghorn harvested earlier that same day, just a few miles away.
Attention was already turning toward the next Wyoming trip, this time for cow elk. It would be a first elk hunt and another story waiting to be made.
