About Us
Cody "Baha"
Fun fact: "Baha" was a nickname I got in college, inspired by my first personally purchased CD, The Baha Men (Who Let the Dogs Out?).
I've been an avid outdoorsman since before I could walk. I used to fish with a stick and string off my couch for imaginary fish while still in diapers, and I was out in the woods with my father and grandfather as soon as I knew what boots were. Growing up in Wisconsin and Michigan, I fished everywhere from small inland lakes and rivers to the Great Lakes, catching everything from perch to salmon. I started hunting and practicing proper and safe gun and bow use as soon as I was strong enough and was able to hunt as soon as I turned 12 (back when there were age limits). My first deer was a button buck, and it remains a lifetime trophy for me. Every fall became the season I looked forward to the most.
I went to college at Michigan Tech in the U.P. of Michigan, where my family had a hunting camp just 25 minutes away. I spent as much time as I could in those woods, either by myself or taking others to teach them how to shoot and hunt their first squirrel or grouse, and then cooking it up!

After college, I moved to lower Michigan with my wife for my job. We bought a house with 10 acres of forest that my neighbors have generously given me permission to use as my own. Our backyard features a 1/3 acre pond that we've stocked with fish. I meticulously maintain our stocked fish and the woods behind our house to create the best habitat for the animals, allowing us to enjoy the outdoors just by stepping out our door. We have one daughter, and I can’t wait to teach her about the outdoors and traditions, hoping she enjoys them as much as I have.
Starting Baha Outdoors was something I never imagined I would do, but I am excited to see where it takes me and the great people I've invited to join me on this adventure!

Alex "Zuluboy"
You might be wondering, "Why Zuluboy?" I was born and raised in Durban, South Africa, and my friends called me "White Zulu" because I could speak the language fluently. I grew up as a beach bum, heavily involved in sports, but life took a turn when I moved to England at the age of 15.
I attended a university in Texas on a track scholarship and then moved to the U.P. of Michigan for my master's degree. That’s where everything changed for me. I met Baha during a summer of working on campus, and that's where our story began. He introduced me to hunting and rekindled my love for fishing. I've been fishing extensively in Lake Bodi since 2016 at my now wife's cabin. My hunting journey will truly began this 2024 fall, since I became an American citizen in the summer of 2022.
I currently reside in the lower half of Michigan with my wife and my son, who at four years old is already following in my footsteps, loving fishing and four-wheeling.
I'm thrilled to be part of the Baha-Crew and excited to have you follow along on this journey.
